Thank You! Mm Goy!

Okay - so I'm not the one who would know how to say thank you in all different languages, but - It all still means "Thank You".  That's what we did today - Thank You Cards.  I had a wonderful class with 6 people, 2 couldn't make it and are picking up their kits.

Here is a little taste of what we did!

What A Weekend!

On Friday, I got to hang with my two friends, Erica & Lisa.  We had dinner, watched Pretty Woman (a classic), and ate dessert, popcorn, and just chatted.  My friend, Lisa, is the next upcoming singer sensation - and she wrote a new song with relation to the book Twilight.  (Which is one of my favorite books right now - I can read them over and over again, along with Harry Potter)  Anyways - it's a great song, and we hope she can get it into the next film.  To catch a bit of what she is like, and how amazing she is: www.lisanicolegrace.com.  Check Her Out!

Okay - on to my busy weekend - although I did not go out to do anything specific, I did work on a lot of projects for myself.  I haven't done this in a really long time!  

I had offered a 3x3 DSP to fellow Stampin' Up Demos - and they are finally finished.  Most of them were picked up today, in fact!  It was nice to finally get some other things done.  

So - while I waited for the ladies to come to my door, I worked on my technique binder.  I saw an amazing technique binder by my upline's upline, Susan, and I just had to make one similar!  I did take some of the ideas she did to the T, because she did them so well!  Others I made up.  I saw someone make an Alligator print for a purse - so I thought, that's definitely a technique and made a quick page out of it.  I have to say - it's my favorite one out of the whole binder, so far.  I'll try to get photos up soon.  

What I like best about this technique booklet?  I have learnt or made myself learn how to do so many more things!!  I was getting giddy!  I finally did embossing resist, scratch n' sniff, faux everything, mirror images, and the list goes on!  

Although - I have to admit, there is one technique I have yet to perfect because mine didn't turn out so well - I couldn't put it into my book.  I saw it on Splitcoaststampers - and it's called the Ink, Spray, and Smoosh technique - but when I smooshed, it just never looked right.  Is there a trick??  Mine just looks like runny mud!  Blech!

Ooh - I also managed to plan my card class coming up on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009.  If you'd like to join or would like a kit, please contact me as soon as you can so I can cut enough supplies.  They are 10 thank you cards for $20.  And if you attend the class - you'll get an extra special project to make.  By far - it's one of my cutest!

Crazy For Cupcakes Class

Okay - so I'm still learning how to blog.  I was trying to learn how to put the class you see in this post, as a sidebar - so that after so many posts it doesn't get pushed to the bottom or disappear to the next page.  More learning to do - any ideas??  Any help with this is appreciated!

Birds, Birds, Birds!

I finally got to play with one of my new stamp sets - Cheep Talk - and it's adorable!  I made these as part of a swap I'm in - so these are going off to Texas first thing!

This is a very simple card, but I just love the fun colors and the birds are just too cute already!

More Valentines

This week has been a busy week!  I had just finished all of those scalloped baggies - which you saw a photo of already, and then my first order of the NEW catalogue came in - it was like Christmas all over again.  Although - it's like that for me every time I get a package from SU!  I love playing with new "toys".

After unpacking, I got heavily started on a DSP sampler.  Stampin' Up had put out a call to demos selling 3x3 paper samplers of all of our Designer Series Paper (DSP).  You got 120 sheets, double sided, so that we could show off all the amazing new papers with SU to our customers.  I wasn't lucky enough, at first, to get one from Stampin' Up - so I decided to make my own and offer it to fellow demos that also didn't get one, like me.  Anyways - It is taking much less time to do than I thought.  I ended up getting one from my fantastic cousin, Kim, she shipped it to me and I got it one day later!  SO - I used this as my template.  I organized all the papers in the same order, scanned the cover and all of the dividers, and now I'm almost finished!!  Call me speedy!  haha

Okay - what I really want to get to is that I have finally taken photos of my Valentine's Card class - they each got to make 5 cards.  Here they are:

These two cards are one of my favorites!  I love the penguin one!  I did not create these - so I can't take credit.  I made them after I saw them from someone else's page.  And I just had to have one of my own!
