Whew - The Week (and Weekend) is Over!

It has been quite the week!  It was full of opportunities and surprises!  First - I was asked to do a 2-page layout in a magazine.  It is a magazine focused around pets, and I was of course happy to do it.  I immediately called up my really good friend, Lisa, to see if she had photos of her dog I could use.  Then I also went over to her place and took photos of her and her dog.  I had a great time!  

So - what things am I supposed to put in a magazine?  Well - first ideas were the usual Scrapbook page layouts, cards, and a 3-D project, right?  Well - while I was making all of my projects up - more and more seemed to flow right into my head and, of course, I had to make them!!  I'm crazy - I know!

So - so far - I've made a 2-page scrapbooking layout, a card, a picture frame, a 3-D basket (one large and one small), and I have 2 more projects that I am planning to do - but haven't yet made them yet.  One for sure - but the other will be depending on whether I will have time!

Unfortunately - I won't be able to post any photos until I get back from holidays.  So - Be On The LOOKout! 

Work has also been crazy busy - I had to hold interviews again this week, as well as call references, and do the usual processes to hire a new assistant.  Hopefully I found one!

This week - I have to finish all my "to do" lists both at home, and at work before I go on holidays!  I need to make those remaining 2 projects, type up my article/info about each of them, and then pack and do last-minute shopping for my trip!

We're headed to Mexico, Riviera Maya - going to the airport on Thursday late-night.  We are soo excited, and I'm due for a much needed break/holiday!

When I get back - I know it'll be in full swing.

I plan to have some contests when I get back for a bunch of goodies.  I will be at a retreat on April 5-6 for some uninterrupted scrapbooking/project making time with a new group of ladies.  Then I'm making a bunch of cards and things for a woman's conference, and then I'll also be at the Edmonton's Woman's Show (April 25-26).  My goodness - I guess by laying it all out - I won't have a free weekend until May!  Yikes!

Be sure to leave me a ton of messages - I love getting mail after being away for so long!

It's Time To Scrap

So - it's time I got back into scrapbooking!  I haven't had an excuse to really scrapbook something I loved.  And I still didn't - until my manager had asked me to make a book for her mom, as a gift.  I have done a total of 7 albums, 1 as my very first to my sister for a present, 2 of my own, my sister's wedding album, my wedding album, an album of a long trip overseas for a friend, and then this one.  

I have definitely progressed.  Although - I can only show you the most recent one, because I hadn't thought to take pictures of many of these albums before giving them away.

I have received permission from my manager to post these photos - knowing very well that her mom will not find the website (she doesn't have internet) so it won't be spoiled, but because I know this is the best one I've done so far. 

This weekend - I got crackin' and finished 4 pages (today I didn't work on it at all - but definitely plan to).
