Here is another shoebox swap that I prepped for my hotel roomies...
I actually got the idea from Becky somebody - I forget her last name, now that I'm blogging. I just changed it up slightly. It's even filled with all the goodies - because I love my roomies. One milk carton has white mints, the second has nestle nuggets, the third has decorated peppermint patties - I forgot to take a picture of these before I put them into my box (a photo will come when I get a chance), and the fourth has red and green M&Ms. There is actually a funny story to that. I was so desperate to find "Christmas" looking candies that I stood at the bulk bin picking out the red and green M&Ms by hand - not bare hand, I used another bag inside out to pick them. People were staring at me - but I really wanted them! haha
I used a few different sets for these - and I'll have to post them another time, as the names are somehow out of my memory at the moment. Each milk carton opens differently (actually only 2 different ways). If the candy was small enough to pour from the spout - then it poured like a milk carton spout. If the candies were too big (ie. peppermint patties) then it has a trap door at the bottom of the carton. Isn't that Clever? Thanks Becky for the trap door idea. I made the spout on my own - although, I have seen others do it. Mine's just slightly different from theirs.
Enjoy!
