Hi Everyone!
Okay - so I've honestly attempted to post my "weekend" due post last Monday, one day late than I said, but it wouldn't let me format anything!! So - I scrapped that. Now - I'm starting over!
So - the week before I left for holidays in Mexico, I received a phone call from a co-worker/consultant who asked me to do a 2-page layout in a pet magazine about scrapbooking/crafting, etc. Of course - I jumped on the opportunity! I came up with the following projects and I hope you like them! The people and pets in the following photos did give consent, and are my awesome friends Lisa, Jared, and Otis! What an awesome family and thank you for letting me use your photos!
This idea came from my wonderful Upline - Katie, and it was soo cute and simple, that I have made a few things for my desk at work. Mostly because - I need something to focus on when I'm having a bad day so that it will make me feel better, and second because I need a friendly reminder that my family and friends are more important things in life!
This project uses the Big Shot (with Top Note die) and Rockabilly DSP. Send me photos of what ideas you come up with! Oooh - and I even added bling to my desk ones - they're AMAZING! Email me your photos at: czgiese@shaw.ca and I'll even post them to my site! Whomever I post - will receive my VERY FIRST BLOG CANDY!!! Be sure to include your mailing address. I want it to be a surprise when you receive a gift in the mail!
Okay - this is the inside of a Pet Birthday card! I used the NEW Pop-Up Die Cake from Sizzix/Stampin' Up! Isn't it adorable? Who wouldn't want a cute doggie birthday invitation in the mail that pops like this??
This is the layout page that I came up with. Did I mention that not only do I love birds, but I LOVE Circles! This page is so colorful and fun! The stamp set in the background is called Seeing Spots, and I used a bunch of our new corduroy buttons, along with the Big Shot for all the letters.
Okay - this basket full of Doggie Goodies is so fun, and so easy!
I made a bag of goodies with the Top Note die (and the Big Shot) as well as the Beautiful Butterfly die. I just love how the butterflies layer together and look awesome - added with some pearl bling! I then did a cute little tag on the Big Dogbone - which is also cut from the Big Shot.
The basket is using the Baskets and Blooms Die, but not using the bottom die-cut. I then just measured a piece of cardstock to make up the sides/bottom of this basket. It's so easy and what a great way to use the Baskets and Blooms Die for larger gifts!
This is the Pop-Up Ball from Sizzix/Stampin' Up! It's so awesome. You can't tell from this photo, but you can squish this ball flat and put it inside a card or gift so that when the person opens up their card/gift, it will pop up! This is a great way to add photos for someone far away - they'll love it! You can also put this inside a 6x6 scrapbook bragbook and it will not only pop up when the page is open, but it will also swivel! Isn't it awesome!!
Okay - that is all I have. I will, at some point, post photos of the best thing I saw in Mexico!
Until Next Time - Keep Scrapping!
